- As a parent the best thing you can do is support your child. Remember that telling an adult can be a very difficult decision. Try to receive as much information as possible.
- Do not take "no" for an answer. Nobody knows your child better than you. As a parent you hold their best interests in mind. Press on until you feel safe about the environment that your child is in. More importantly, don't become discouraged and/or give up, it won't be easy but at the end of the day you are making a difference.
- Don't be naive. Don't assume that your child is not suffering from bullying or administering the bullying behaviours. Also don't fall into the "In My Day" mindset. Just because bullying happened years ago does not permit it to continue today. Times have changed, technology expanded, and effects worsened.
